Colette was founded in 1997 as Paris’ first and original “concept store” (setting the stage for shops like Dover Street Market). Frequented by celebrities and fashion icons, the Parisian store redefined streetwear/ high fashion. Plagued by couture houses and the country’s traditional, static fashion sense, Paris was revitalized and regained status as leaders in the ever-evolving fashion industry. After 20 years, the store surprised the world announcing their permanent closing to come on December 20, 2017. On their closing day, CPFM was given the honors of creating the last capsule - consisting of hand-dyed long sleeve garments. Presented to fans was the final gift that would summarize the legacy left behind and the emotions from that one day- “Bittersweet”.
